FOUR BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES OF ALANYA

 

THE VILLAGE OF DEREKÖY-TÜRBELİNAS 

The village of Dereköy is located about 30- 35 km North from Alanya. It's a summer village which can be reached by a road that zigzags through the pine trees of the Taurus mountains.  In the times of Karamanoğullar, it was known as Hurşitler district and belonged to Mahmutseydi village area. The village consists of settlements spread around the slopes of the Taurus mountains that surround the village. In the middle of the village is the spring of Kargi river and it's called Deregözu, where trouts are grown. The village is very famous for its grapes, pear, molasses and dried fruit pulp and in the summer the population increases greatly. 

 

 

THE VILLAGE OF GEDEVET 

The village where the folks of Alanya go for some fresh air is called Gedevet and it is located inside the borders of Pınarbaşı village. It is known to have about 1500 households. In this village, a lot of vegetables and fruit are grown, such as apples, pears, cranberries, nuts, chestnuts, cherries, grapes, and figs. It's about 23 km away from Alanya center and it is possible to see every tone of green when you admire the view. 

 

 

THE VILLAGE OF TÜRKTAŞ 

The village is located in the middle of the Taurus mountains and it has spectacular views of the mountains. The most popular things to do is just wandering among the tall trees and having picnics with barbeque. 

 

 

THE VILLAGE OF MAHMUTSEYDİ

This breathtaking village is located about 40 km away from Alanya center. It's one of the largest villages of Alanya and of course, the most popular. One of the known people of Alanya, Hamdullah Emin Paşa, is from Mahmutseydi village. In the summertime, a lot of folks living in the center visit the village to escape the heat of the sun and enjoy the cool mountain breeze.
