Hairdressers are Gradually Opening in Turkey

The situation with the coronavirus in Turkey is stabilizing. Everyday statistics show promising numbers as the number of new cases are dropping, and the number of recovered are rising. That is why the government have decided to reduce restrictions by opening hairdressers as their first sign of normalizing.

Conditions of Opening

The Turkish leader announced that starting 11.05.2020, hairdressers will open. From May 10, citizens over 65 years of age are allowed to go out from 11:00 to 15:00. Children under 14 years old will have the same opportunity but from May 13.

Even though the government will lift the ban for hairdressers, they will have to follow some safety precautions. These are:

  • All hairdressers/barbers are required to work in gloves and masks.
  • Service providers are only allowed to bring in half of their stores capacity.
  • Disinfection has to be on an ongoing basis.

The work of each institution will be carefully monitored regularly. Within the house of parliament in Turkey, they are saying that beauty salons will open soon after. But if the precautions are not taken into consideration, more restrictions will take place.
